The Gold Coast Whale Festival is an annual event held at Burleigh Heads, QLD. Organised by Humpbacks and Highrises (HHR). This festival aims to increase awareness about our oceans as well as those who visit them every year–the magnificent whales! Since 2011, HHR has run Queensland’s largest marine monitoring program dedicated to research. Their mission is to ensure present and future generations of the community have access to enjoy, appreciate and care for whales and dolphins through research, rescue and education.
